Your new role

As a Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will play a key role in delivering strategic procurement outcomes across a diverse portfolio. You'll provide expert advice and manage end-to-end procurement activities, including:

• Procurement planning, market engagement, tender administration, and supplier evaluation
• Contract negotiation, award, handover, and ongoing contract management
• Performance monitoring, KPI tracking, and dispute resolution
• Preparing contract variations and extensions
• Building strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams, suppliers, and industry
• Conducting site visits and maintaining procurement systems and records
• Preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence to support procurement governance

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of Queensland Government procurement policies and legislation
• Proven experience in managing complex procurement processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to lead change, make insightful decisions, and drive accountability
• High-level contract negotiation and performance management capabilities
• Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement, or related disciplines (highly regarded)
• Certifications through CIPS or equivalent (desirable)
