Embolden is the peak body for specialist domestic, family and sexual violence services in South Australia. Embolden advocates for people at risk of or experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence and represents the providers of specialist services that support them.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Engagement & Operations Officer will support the day-to-day coordination and delivery of Embolden’s membership program and operations, will undertake administrative duties and assist with projects, campaigns, events and communications.
The Engagement & Operations Officer is an office-based role in Adelaide on Kaurna Country, with provision for flexible working arrangements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and organisational management support, including support for Embolden events, campaigns, communications, specific projects and reporting requirements.
Membership program administration, including maintaining membership databases, distribution lists and other records, generating invoices, and communication with members.
Administrative support to Embolden’s executive, including coordination and secretariat support for Board and member meetings, and executive support to the Chief Executive Officer.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Essential
Experience in an administration and/or project support role, proficiency in Microsoft 365, and the ability to implement and maintain effective records management systems.
High level written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in digital communication technologies and experience in the effective use of social media.
Ability to manage workload and competing demands, and to work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a team.
An understanding of the domestic, family and sexual violence, and of the community services sector is essential
Desirable
Understanding of or experience working in the domestic, family and sexual violence sector.
Experience working in a peak body, advocacy or other community organisational setting.
Understanding of the differing experiences, perspectives, needs and motivations of diverse stakeholder groups.
