We have been engaged by major player and wonderful place to work in the manufacturing industry. They employ 300 staff and operate nationally, turning over nearly $100M in revenue annually.
To provide lasting management of the payroll function, the team is looking to bring on a competent and experienced Senior who will hit the ground running. This would be a part-time contract role In Adelaide with a potential to move permanent at the end of the contract period.

In this role, regular execution of different pay runs for all 300 employees on different schedules, liaising with supporting accounting functions and managing internal stakeholder relationships. The role will work closely with another senior payroller to empower them as they transition out of the role.

• Payroll processing – Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of employee wages, salaries, bonuses, and allowances for each pay cycle (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly)
• System Management – Maintaining payroll systems, implementing updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity
• Employee queries – Responding to complex employee questions about pay, deductions, leave balances, and providing payslips and payment summaries as required
• Reporting and reconciliation – Preparing payroll reports for management, reconciling payroll accounts, investigating discrepancies, and liaising with finance teams for general ledger integration

You will have, advanced systems, communication and presentation skills and have a genuine ambition to assist a team in transition and deliver stability.

• 3+ Years of Payroll experience in a company of similar or larger size
• Ability to analyse data and provide guidance, including areas of opportunity and improvement
• Proven ability to execute multiple pay runs efficiently given tight time frames
• Willing to be in office three (3) days per week.
• Advanced skills in Excel
