At RDA Darling Downs and South West (RDA DDSW), we connect community, business, non-profits, and government to strengthen our region.

We identify priorities, align resources, and deliver practical solutions that help regional communities and economies thrive.

As part of this mission, we’re proud to host the Toowoomba Regional Jobs Committee (TRJC) — a local collaboration driving workforce growth and business capability across Toowoomba and the broader Darling Downs economic zone (including the Southern Downs, Western Downs, and Goondiwindi regions)

About the role

We’re seeking a Project Manager to lead the TRJC and deliver meaningful, place-based solutions that boost local employment outcomes.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role suited to a proactive professional who thrives on turning ideas into results. You’ll work with local employers, educators, and community leaders to identify priorities, build partnerships, and deliver real impact.

The role is hosted by RDA DDSW and funded through the Queensland Government’s Regional Jobs Committee (RJC) Program, administered by the Department of Training, Employment and Trade (DTET).

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Toowoomba Regional Jobs Committee project.

Identify emerging workforce trends and skills needs across the region.

Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, and community leaders.

Facilitate effective TRJC meetings and deliver on the regional Action Plan.

Connect stakeholders with Queensland Government workforce programs and funding opportunities.

Represent Toowoomba in statewide RJC forums and share local insights.

Manage project budgets, contracts, and reporting with diligence.

Support other RDA DDSW projects that promote regional economic growth and liveability.

About You

You’re a confident relationship-builder who knows how to get things done. You’re as comfortable working with senior stakeholders as you are engaging directly with community partners.

You will bring:

Proven ability to deliver and evaluate projects independently.

Locally connected — you bring established networks across Toowoomba and the broader Darling Downs economic zone (including the Southern Downs, Western Downs, and Goondiwindi regions) with key industries and employers, or you have a demonstrated ability to build strong, trusted relationships quickly.

Experience collaborating with industry, education, and government.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

A proactive, strategic, and outcomes-driven mindset.

Flexibility to travel within the region as required.

Blue Card or ability to obtain one.

Current Driver Licence.

Why Join Us

At RDA DDSW, you’ll join a small, purpose-driven team dedicated to regional success.

We offer:

A meaningful role where your work creates visible impact.

A supportive, collaborative work culture.

Hybrid working options.

Opportunities to connect and influence across sectors.
