The Role
As a Systems Administrator/Information Security Analyst, you will work with the Systems Team to engage diverse stakeholders and undertake the day-to-day administration and improvement of the ICT systems and network to ensure peak performance, appropriate security and maximum uptime across the Maritime Warfare Centre's environment.
Duties include:
- Administering, maintaining, and supporting ICT infrastructure;
- Supporting risk assessments, applying security policies, reporting and mitigating cyber incidents;
- Assisting with ICT security, disaster recovery, business continuity;
- Providing ICT user support; and
- Developing and maintaining server and systems configuration documentation, diagrams, policy documentation, and standard operating procedures.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The Maritime Warfare Centre is custodian for the Royal Australian Navy’s data on weapon firings, underwater signature measurement and expert analytic products essential to decision makers and the warfighting community. The Centre's Systems Team provides critical infrastructure, information management services and systems support, enabling the provision of the Centre's information product.
