MFTE is partnering with a major NSW Government department on a large-scale Cyber, Data & AI transformation program.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to help shape and deliver a modern cyber governance and assurance framework — ensuring secure, compliant, and trusted digital operations across the agency.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of security, strategy, and innovation, with an opportunity to influence enterprise-level frameworks supporting AI and digital services.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide cyber security and governance frameworks.

Conduct risk and compliance assessments across cloud, data, and AI environments.

Design and recommend controls aligned to NSW Government and ISO 27001 standards.

Embed security-by-design principles in new programs and platforms.

Provide expert guidance on privacy, threat mitigation, and cyber posture improvement.

Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of assurance processes.

Partner with technology, risk, and business leaders to drive strategic uplift.

What You’ll Bring

5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security, Governance, or Risk Management roles.

Strong understanding of GRC frameworks, cloud security, and privacy compliance.

Experience supporting AI or data-driven initiatives from a security perspective.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate technical risk into business outcomes.

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or SABSA are highly regarded.

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
