Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Business/System Analyst to serve as key personnel on a critical project. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing system solutions, defining requirements, guiding implementation, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery. This role requires a proven track record in system analysis, Agile practices, and superior stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The Key Personnel - Senior Business/System Analyst will be responsible for:
Requirements and Design:
Conduct extensive business and functional analysis to define comprehensive requirements for system solutions.
Produce high-quality documentation, including user stories, wireframes, and screen mock-ups, to clearly articulate business requirements and functional designs.
Develop System Integration Specifications to guide technical teams.
Undertake process re-engineering, including the capture and documentation of "as-is" and "to-be" business processes using clear process flows.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership:
Effectively lead workshops and work directly with a diverse group of solution stakeholders.
Act as a critical liaison, negotiating with business stakeholders, users, technical staff, and Product Owners to manage expectations and achieve desired project outcomes.
Project Delivery and Quality Assurance:
Actively participate in the project lifecycle, including demonstrating system solutions to stakeholders.
Assist and guide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final solution meets all specified business requirements.
Contribute to the project's overall implementation, management, and monitoring approach to ensure a practical and workable solution is developed.
Mandatory Criteria (Must Comply)
Candidates must meet the following absolute requirement:
A minimum of three (3) years of proven, practical experience in system solution analytical experience.
Skills and Experience (Essential Requirements)
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in the following areas:
Agile Proficiency: Proven experience providing Agile business analysis/functional analysis services within an iterative development environment.
Documentation Excellence: Extensive experience with documenting business requirements and functional design through tools such as user stories, wireframes, and screen mock-ups.
Negotiation & Communication: Demonstrated experience in negotiating with and managing diverse stakeholders (business, technical, product owners) to ensure consensus and project success.
Process Modeling: Experience in undertaking process re-engineering, specifically capturing "as-is" and "to-be" business processes in process flows.
Technical Specification: Experience developing System Integration Specifications.
UAT & Showcase: Experience in showcasing system solutions and actively assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Workshop Facilitation: Proven ability to effectively lead workshops and engage directly with solution stakeholders.
Desired Experience (Highly Regarded)
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Experience working on complex government projects.
Prior project experience with Victorian Government Departments.
