The Opportunity
We’re looking for a BCA / Building Regulations Consultant to join our Sydney team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with architects, engineers, builders, and developers to provide design-sensitive compliance advice that supports high-quality, innovative buildings. From early concept stages through to completion, you’ll play an active role in interpreting codes, identifying solutions, and helping design teams deliver compliant outcomes that don’t compromise creativity or intent.

It’s a technically engaging, relationship-driven role that suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems and communicating clearly across the design and construction spectrum.

Your Key Responsibilities

Undertake detailed BCA/NCC assessments and provide clear, practical compliance advice.

Review drawings and documentation to identify efficient, design-conscious solutions.

Participate in design workshops and coordination meetings, offering guidance early in the process.

Liaise closely with architects, engineers, fire consultants, and approval authorities.

Prepare professional reports and documentation to support certification and project approvals.

Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the ongoing improvement of technical processes.

What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who’s technically skilled, curious, and motivated to help project teams achieve better design outcomes through smarter compliance thinking. You combine technical depth with a collaborative approach and professional communication style.

You’ll ideally bring:

A degree in Building Surveying, Architecture, or Construction Management.

2–5 years’ experience working with Class 2–9 developments.

Strong knowledge of BCA/NCC requirements and construction legislation.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Progress toward NSW Building Surveyor accreditation (advantageous but not essential).
