Join a Team That Makes a Difference

At Excellent Carers, our mission is simple yet powerful: to leave the world better than we found it. We empower individuals with disabilities by delivering innovative, inclusive, and person-centred services that inspire happiness and positivity.

Our team takes pride in building meaningful relationships with participants and their families while fostering a workplace culture grounded in compassion, excellence, and continuous improvement.

We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to guide the day-to-day operations of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Greenwood and Craigie — while also working directly as a Support Worker within these houses.

About the Opportunity

This is a vital on-field leadership role where you’ll combine direct client support with team supervision to make a tangible difference every day. As a Team Leader, you’ll work on the floor as a Support Worker, while also mentoring and supervising your team to ensure quality service delivery, staff development, and positive client outcomes.

You’ll work closely with our Service Coordinator, Rostering Team, and HR to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance across our SIL settings.

Working Hours:

Part-Time (Rostered shifts across weekdays and weekends)

Location:

Primary sites: Greenwood and Craigie (SIL Homes)

Office base: Osborne Park

Your Key Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance

Monitor service delivery standards and ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines.

Contribute to incident reviews, risk mitigation, and corrective actions.

Conduct regular quality assurance checks and feedback loops.

Client & Family Relationships

Act as a key point of contact for participant families and advocates.

Support participants in achieving their goals through respectful engagement and consistent service delivery.

Workforce Planning & Rostering Support

Collaborate with the rostering and HR teams for shift planning and workforce needs.

Provide input to identify staffing gaps or forecast recruitment needs.

Crisis & Risk Management

Act as a first responder for on-site incidents or urgent support issues.

Coordinate with management and HR in escalated situations.

Selection Criteria

Essential

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a disability, aged care, or community service setting.

Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising staff and managing team performance.

Well-developed organisation and time management capabilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and rostering tools.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check & First Aid/CPR.

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

Desirable

Certificate IV or higher in Disability or Community Services.

Experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
