About the Role

Are you looking for a highly rewarding purpose driven role that can make a real impact?

Goodwin Aged Care is seeking an experienced Catering Operations Manager to lead and manage catering services across our aged care sites. This senior role involves overseeing kitchen and all catering operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, managing budgets, and leading a skilled team of chefs and catering staff.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily catering operations and food service quality.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and Aged Care Quality Standards

Lead, develop, and motivate the catering team.

Oversee budgeting, procurement, and inventory control.

Collaborate with clinical teams to meet residents' nutritional needs.

Resolve escalated complaints professionally and constructively.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives and innovation

What We are Looking For

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Food Safety Supervisor certification

Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

Current C Class Driver's Licence

Extensive experience as a head chef or catering manager in large-scale food operations

Minimum 6-8 years of experience as a head chef or catering manager in large-scale food operations

Strong knowledge of commercial food preparation and HACCP standards

Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in change management

Understanding of the nutritional needs of older people

Excellent planning, administration, costing, and organisational skills

Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Australian work rights required for all visa types

Desirable

Experience in aged care or hospitality (5-star hotel or large food production roles)
