The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to join this growing national team.
Based in Sydney, you’ll focus on expanding relationships across Western Australia and South Australia, leveraging your deep understanding of how advice practices, licensees, and dealer groups operate.
You’ll promote a suite of high-quality managed account portfolios, deliver impactful presentations, and represent the brand at industry conferences and adviser events. This is an autonomous, relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys connecting with advisers and driving genuine business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow market share across WA and SA, engaging directly with financial advisers, practice principals and licensee groups.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing adviser firms, providing value through education, insights and tailored investment discussions.
Present investment solutions at adviser workshops, professional development days, and conferences.
Manage your sales pipeline and reporting through CRM tools, ensuring all activity and client data are accurately maintained.
Support the onboarding and transition process for new advice practices adopting the firm’s managed account portfolios.
Collaborate with internal marketing and product teams to refine messaging and develop adviser-focused collateral.
Maintain a high level of market awareness, including knowledge of financial planning practice structures, licensing frameworks and adviser distribution channels.
Travel:
Regular interstate travel to Perth and Adelaide (every 2–3 months) for client meetings and events.
Attendance at key industry conferences and adviser showcases as required.
Who you are
You’re a confident, professional relationship builder who understands the adviser landscape and knows how to turn investment capability into compelling value for clients. You’re proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable working autonomously within a boutique environment.
You’ll bring:
Demonstrated success in business development, distribution, or practice management within wealth management, funds management or financial advisory
Strong understanding of financial planning practices, licensing structures and adviser networks.
Existing relationships in Western Australia and/or South Australia (highly regarded).
Strong grasp of investment principles, portfolio construction and managed account solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline (desirable).
Salary and Benefits
Base $140k-$200k | Super | $50k-$100k Comm
