About the role

This is a full-time Baker/Pastry Chef role at Macdermid's Bakery, located in Tocumwal, NSW. As part of the team, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality baked goods and pastries to delight our customers. What you'll be doing

Preparing and baking a variety of fresh breads, rolls, pastries and other baked goods according to recipes and customer orders

Ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation

Assisting with the daily operations of the bakery, including inventory management, equipment maintenance and cleaning

Collaborating with the team to develop new and innovative baked goods

Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries and feedback

What we're looking for

At least 2 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef, ideally in a commercial bakery setting

Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety regulations and quality control procedures

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as required
