The Westport Club based on the banks of the Hastings River in the picturesque town of Port Macquarie has an opening for a Full Time Chef to join our growing team. This position will provide you with 4 weeks annual leave each year and an above market wage.

The Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and committed individuals who will create great, quality meals across our high-volume kitchens serving our waterfront restaurant, cafe and events centre. To apply you'll need at least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification. Our ideally candidate is experienced in a fast paced, high-volume kitchen. Your creative vision will leave our guests with a sense of "WOW" as we advance your skills in one of Port Macquarie's premier award-winning venues.

Your Day-to-Day Duties Would Include:

Food preparation and cooking during service, private parties and functions

Preparation and cooking of all dishes in our restaurant, cafe and events

Working pans, grills and fryers efficiently

Sufficient experience in safe food handling

Assisting with training and mentoring our team

Providing input and insights to leaders about menu design, implementation and cost for food and labour

Supporting our team in stock control and monitoring wastage
