Position Overview
The Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting the sales team with documentation, quotations, and customer communication.
This role involves working closely with the Sales Executive to review project documentation, interpret drawings, prepare quotes, and ensure seamless coordination between clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and ready to contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
Review and interpret project documentation to determine quantities and material requirements.
Mark up plans and drawings for quotation and tender preparation.
Prepare accurate and detailed quotations in coordination with the Sales Executive.
Assist with pricing, supplier communication, and product selection.
Maintain and update CRM and quotation systems.
Support the sales team in preparing proposals, tenders, and client correspondence.
Administration
Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.
Manage and organise sales files, documentation, and version control.
Provide administrative support including scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order flow and timely project delivery.
Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and client communications.
Customer Service
Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Follow up on quotations and provide updates to clients and the sales team.
Support after-sales coordination, including documentation and logistics where required.
Key Skills and Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to read and interpret architectural or technical drawings.
Organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in sales administration, estimating, or a related role.
Experience in the construction, building products, or technology industries highly regarded.
Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Construction, or related discipline (preferred).
