Business Development Manager

 Remuneration: $140,000 - $180,000 + Super + Company Car (Pending Experience)
Our client is a well-established and nationwide compliance equipment supplier. Due to ongoing expansion and growth within Western Australia, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Perth based team to assist with new client acquisition, particularly within the mining industry.
This role, based out of Osborne Park, will offer you the opportunity to travel across Western Australia in both rural and metro areas, and is an ideal position for someone who has experience with consumable products, is flexible with work schedules and is self-motivated.
The role:
 As the Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving business growth by uncovering new client opportunities, as well as strengthening existing relationships. Key duties include:
- Identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities with clients in the mining and industrial sectors in Western Australia
- Generation of new leads and building on existing client relationships, this includes cold calling, site visits and networking through social media
- Develop and submit competitive tenders and quotations, providing clients with swift technical solutions and recommendations
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including a small Perth based team and the main head office in New Zealand
- Handing over new clients to the account management teams to allow for smooth onboarding and long-term relationship growth
- Travel regularly across metropolitan and regional Western Australia to engage with prospective clients
About You:
 To be successful in this position, you will require the following:
- Previous experience and proven success in Business Development or Sales Roles, ideally within consumable products, industrial supplies or compliance equipment
- Ability to travel throughout Western Australia (Essential)
- Strong experience dealing with mining or industrial sectors.
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable managing travel and flexible work schedules
- Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills, focusing on solution-based selling
What's in it for you? Asides from working in a great environment with supportive management, you will be well remunerated with a salary circa $140,000 - $180,000 (inclusive of discretionary performance bonuses) + super + company car.
