About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Manager to join this growth-focused consultancy. Reporting directly to the Director, this position is responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with business owners and executives, and driving engagement across a range of strategic advisory services. The role requires a mix of high-level sales capability, strategic thinking, and a genuine interest in helping businesses scale through tailored growth, funding, and commercialisation strategies.
What we need from you:
Develop and execute business development strategies to attract new clients and partnerships
Identify and qualify business opportunities aligned with company expertise and target industries
Collaborate with senior leaders to design and present tailored growth solutions
Manage the full business development lifecycle from prospecting to close
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline progress
Represent the business at industry events and networking functions
Contribute to the broader strategic direction and business growth initiatives
What you’ll bring:
Proven success in business development, consulting, or professional services environments
Strong understanding of strategic growth, financing, or commercialisation solutions
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills at executive level
A proactive, consultative approach with strong commercial acumen
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or a related field (highly regarded)
A genuine passion for helping businesses scale and succeed
