The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to join our People and Capability team. This role provides vital administrative and operational support across a broad range of HR functions, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services and initiatives across the organisation.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resource, you will play a key role in recruitment coordination, onboarding, Human Resource (HR) systems and reporting, learning and capability support, health and safety support and general HR administration.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate recruitment logistics including advertising, interview scheduling and contract preparation.
Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees
Monitor and triage the HR inbox, escalating queries as needed
Maintain HR data systems, ensuring accuracy and supporting audits
Assist with learning and capability, health and safety administration and performance review processes
Prepare contract variations and employee correspondence
Contribute to HR projects aligned with strategic objectives
Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate WVPHN’s values in all interactions.
About you
You are an organized and motivated HR professional with a strong customer service mindset and a passion for supporting people and process to enable a positive employee experience.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a proactive solutions-focused approach to your work.
Essential skills and experience:
Certificate IV in Business Administration or minimum 3 years’ experience in HR administration,
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Desirable
Experience in the not-for-profit or health sector
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
A current Victorian driver’s licence
Valid working rights in Australia (citizen, permanent resident or appropriate visa)
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check prior to appointment
