About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Western Australian Aviation College as the College Manager - Part 142 Training. You will l be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the College's operations, from academic standards to student welfare, in this full-time position based in Jandakot, WA.
What you'll be doing
Ensuring the College complies with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards
Managing the College's teaching staff, including recruitment, training and performance management
Developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes to ensure the College operates efficiently and effectively
Overseeing the College's financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including students, parents and the broarder community
Representing the College at various events and functions and promoting its reputation and programs
Providing strategic leadership and direction for the College to achieve its academic and operational objectives
What we're looking for
A deep understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, including current trends, best practices and regulatory requirements including:
a) 2025 Standards for RTOs
b) VET Student Loans Act 2016
c) National Code 2018
d) Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Proven track record of successsfully managing and leading a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Strong financial management and budgeting skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Substantial experience in a leadership role within the vocational education or training sector
Previous experience in aviation training or aerospace industry highly desirable
A relevant qualification in education i.e. Cert. IV in Training and Assessment and/or a Flying Instructor Rating.
