About the role

Murchison Mining Servies are currently seeking an experienced Workplace Trainer Advisor to support growth in our Western Australian and South Australian Projects.

This role will be offered with a competitive salary on an 8 days-on 6 days-off, or 2 weeks-on 2 weeks-off roster FIFO from Perth.

This full-time role is an integral part of our Ancillary Mining Services Contracts, where you will be responsible for online training, induction program, face to face training and assessing, and VOC of MMS employees on various mobile plant, high risk mobile plant, tooling which is facilitated by our alignment with a Western Australian Registered Training Organisation.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Workplace Training Advisor will play an integral part in improving the companies’ requirements in training and assessments for our underground, surface and engineering-based operations.

You will be expected to liaise closely with the company's management team in particular the WHS teams to deliver safe and effective outcomes for our workforce:

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

· Daily liaison with underground personnel, conducting training and competency assessments.

· Actively participating in the integrity of training records, matrixes and needs analysis.

· Report on activities and finalise records within set timelines.

· Liaise with the Training Manager for RTO training needs.

· Assist with maintaining the training budgets and ensure company operational procedures are complied with.

What we're looking for

· TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

· An experienced Trainer and Assessor with relevant experience in either underground, surface mining or construction industry

· Knowledge and compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations

· Sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Training

· Current driver's license and ability to work in a team environment

· Western Australian Drivers Licence - Open Class

Ideal candidate will currently hold and or the ability to demonstrate 3years experience in the following mobile plant and tooling.

· RIIMPO334D Conduct skid steer loader operations using attachments

· RIIMPO338E Conduct rigid haul truck operations

· RIIMPO301E Conduct hydraulic excavator operations

· RIIVEH203E Operate a light vehicle underground

· RIIHAN311F Conduct operations with integrated tool carrier

· RIIUMM203D Prepare and perform manual scaling operations

Tooling

· PMBWELD301E Join polyethylene plastic pipelines using butt welding

· PMBWELD302E Join polyethylene plastic pipelines using electrofusion welding
