Salary $127,941 per annum + superannuation.
Housing on site and vehicle provided
Annual salary increase every year based on CPI.
Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).
5 weeks annual leave per year + additional leave over the Christmas shut down period + 17.5% leave loading.
10 days Noongar Cultural Leave per annum.
5 days compassionate leave per occasion.
7 weeks LSL vested after 7 years of service.

The role
The Gnowangerup Agricultural College (GAC) has been identified for inclusion into the NLE. The GAC comprises of 459 hectares of arable farmland, three houses, a dormitory, group kitchen, an office, gymnasium and multiple sheds.
The Project Manager will require energy, initiative and high-level communication and project management skills. They will be responsible for the economic, employment, social and cultural activation of the Gnowangerup College for the benefit of the WKSN Noongar community.
The Project Manager role is based at the GAC with housing (on site) and a vehicle provided.

Full time (37.5 hours per week).

About us
The Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation (WKSN AC) was formed as a result of the South West Native Title Settlement (Settlement). WKSN AC has been established to assist the Noongar peoples from the Wagyl Kaip & Southern Noongar area to protect and promote Noongar culture and to manage land and waters within their country
One of the cornerstones of the Settlement is the establishment of the Noongar Land Estate (NLE). The NLE comprises 320,000 hectares of land allocated as reserve or freehold tenure for cultural or economic development purposes. The WKSN AC will hold and manage a significant amount of NLE Cultural land that is intended to provide significant opportunities for the Noongar community to achieve sustainable economic, social, and cultural outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for facilitating and managing:
the transfer of all GAC lands and infrastructure to the Noongar Boodja Trust, including ensuring all facilities and lands are in an appropriate condition prior to transfer.
the leasing of the GAC to WKSN AC from the Noongar Boodja Trust.
the sub leasing any lands or infrastructure to third parties where appropriate.
consultation with the WKSN AC Board and Cultural Advice Committee, the WKSN Noongar Community and historically connected Aboriginal people to ensure culturally appropriate use and activation of the college site.
the development of short- and long-term plans for the use of the agricultural land to maximise economic, employment, cultural and social benefit for the WKSN Noongar community.
development of short- and long-term plans for use of the built facilities to maximise economic, employment and training, cultural and social benefits for the WKSN Noongar Community.
establishing a WKSN AC office at the GAC site
the identification, promotion and protection of Noongar cultural, social and historical values.
the development of partnerships and funding opportunities with Government and non-government partners to activate appropriate Noongar employment, training and economic benefit opportunities; and
implementation of all plans, leasing and partnership arrangements for the college.
Selection Criteria:
Essentials
Experience in project management or education and training, or economic development or similar related management roles.
Tertiary qualifications in project management or education and training or economic development or other related fields.
Experience in multi-faceted stakeholder facilitation including liaison with Government and non-government parties including identifying and attracting funding.
The ability to be able to manage budgets and financial reporting.
Well-developed written and oral communications skills, including an ability to prepare strategic plans, reports, memos, briefings and other documentation.
Problem solving ability, initiative and teamwork.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to, engage effectively with the Noongar community.
Desirable
Basic understanding of agricultural, training and infrastructure management.
The Corporation has a preference to employ Noongar persons, in particular persons with Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar connections, however non-Noongar persons are eligible for appointment should no suitable Noongar person be available
Specific requirements
Current ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
