Call Centre Operator – ServiceNSW
Pay: $35.80 per hour + Super
Start: 17 November 2025 | End: 30 June 2026
Location: Newcastle – Onsite only
Hours: 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday (7am–7pm rotating roster)
About the Role
We’re seeking seven experienced Call Centre Operators to join the Road Safety team in Newcastle. You’ll handle inbound customer enquiries, deliver exceptional service, and support key government initiatives that make NSW roads safer.
Structured two-week rotating roster. Shifts rotate every four weeks between early, mid, and late starts (e.g. 7am, 9–10am, 11am).
What You’ll Do
- Handle inbound calls and enquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Record and manage information accurately in multiple systems
- Communicate clearly via phone and email with customers and colleagues
- Support the Road Safety business line with quality customer interactions
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years’ customer service experience (call centre, admin, or retail)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Teams, data entry, typing)
- Fast learner with ability to use new systems and tools
- Previous government experience is a plus (not required)
Training & Support Comprehensive onsite training provided:
- 5-day general and fundamentals training
- 2 additional phases of 8–9 days of product training
- Supported “nesting” period with team leaders and mentors
Additional Information
- Police Check required
- Onsite only – no hybrid options
- Candidates must be based in NSW
- Shortlisted applicants will attend an in-person assessment centre (60–90 mins) at the Newcastle Contact Centre
