Senior Systems Engineer – Managed Services

Full-time | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) | $120,000 – $130,000 + Super | Sydney

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing Managed Services team, supporting a diverse range of client environments across Microsoft, cloud, network, and security platforms.

This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working three days in the office and two from home, and is ideal for someone who thrives in an MSP environment, enjoys solving complex L3 issues, and values collaboration, client engagement, and continuous learning.

Essential Criteria

Proven L3 technical support experience within an MSP environment.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Intune, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

Skilled in virtualisation technologies (VMware / Hyper-V) and networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching).

Good understanding of endpoint protection, MFA, and security best practices.

Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Fortinet, or Cisco) highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Act as an escalation point for L2 engineers, providing hands-on L3 support across server, network, and cloud environments.

Manage complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deliver onsite or remote client support.

Contribute to infrastructure projects, migrations, and system upgrades.

Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior team members.

Collaborate with other senior engineers and participate in an after-hours roster as required.
