Our Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting families and strengthening relationships? Join Cafs, a values-driven organisation, as our Family Relationships Counsellor. This role sits within our Family Relationships Team. As the Family Relationships Counsellor, you will provide trauma-informed counselling and education to families, couples, children, and individuals to enhance wellbeing, safety, and community participation.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual with demonstrated experience in counselling and working with vulnerable families. The ideal candidate will thrive when working both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Skills & Attributes
  • Tertiary qualifications (Diploma and above) in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Experience in counselling and working with vulnerable families
  • Demonstrates expertise in designing and implementing trauma-informed processes that enhance client outcomes, ensuring services are responsive, respectful, and aligned with individual and family needs
  • Adaptable with a proactive mindset, responding constructively and swiftly to changing circumstances while maintaining effectiveness under pressure and in dynamic environments

We deliver more than 50 programs across the Central Highlands region, supporting individuals, children, and families.
