Based centrally in Sydney’s West, our client is a leading supplier of innovative mechatronic solutions that assist Australian manufacturers to comply with product identification and traceability regulations in manufacturing and distribution processes.

At this time we are seeking an enterprising Field Service Technician to install new solutions and provide after sales service to a wide range of industrial applications. This role will see you working with a range of industrial quality mechatronic systems that require a strong combination of mechanical, electronic, IT and networking skills. Most importantly our ideal candidate will have had previous exposure to automated systems or industrially rated mechatronic solutions in almost any environment. However high regard will be shown to candidates with experience working within an industry where equipment up time is a key factor.

Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• New equipment and systems installation
• Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown Service activities on site and in workshop
• Providing a high level of customer service and responsiveness
• Facilitating machine operation training for end-users
• Completion of accurate service reports
• Full product training will be provided

In order to succeed, our ideal candidate will be able to satisfy most or all of the following selection criteria.

• Trade or tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline ie: Mechatronics, electronics, electrical etc.
• Previous experience in any form of automation or mechatronic solutions in a field service role is highly desirable. Relevant experience in the manufacturing or FMCG processing industries would also be highly regarded
• You have a strong affinity for fault finding and a high level of attention to detail
• You possess well developed communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work overtime and travel when required
