About the Role

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Health Promotion Officer to take on a leadership role within our Public Health team.

Reporting to the Service Lead Public Health, you’ll lead and support health promotion staff to deliver inclusive, evidence-based programs that promote physical activity, wellbeing and other lifestyle-related health outcomes. You’ll work with internal teams, community organisations and service providers to contribute to healthier lifestyles across Cockburn.

About you

We’re seeking a motivated and community-minded professional with a passion for health promotion and a collaborative approach to delivering positive outcomes.

Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:

  • Experience in planning and delivering health promotion or community development programs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of public health frameworks and behaviour change theory
  • Leadership experience and the ability to support a small team
  • A tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health or a related field

Salary: Starting from Level 6 Step 1 ($101,353.66 – $118,583.27 per annum) under the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualification and experience.
