About the Role
The Development Services Coordinator will provide strategic leadership and operational supervision across the department plus performing the technical aspects of Environmental Health requirements of the Shire.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, you’ll play a key role in delivering a proactive, business supportive, customer focused and solution driven approach to health, planning and building related programs and initiatives within the Shire of Nannup.
What we’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a proactive, business supportive, customer focused and solution driven attitude. You will have a working knowledge or understanding of relevant local government regulations, local laws and policies that relate to the development services team. You will have experience in the delivery of Environmental Health Services and will also have a sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Risk Management in this field.
They will also possess the following:
Experience - At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
Qualifications – At least a bachelor’s degree (AQF 7) qualification.
Skills – Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and reviewing environmental health policies, programs and strategies aimed at improving public health outcomes, as well as overseeing compliance with environmental health legislation.
Supervision – Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role and leading an effective team.
