REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER

Your New Role

The Shire of Narrogin has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual to fill the role of Regional Environmental Health Officer in the Development and Regulatory Services Department, as well as servicing other nearby local governments.

This position would be suitable for a new graduate and will include the conducting of statutory compliance inspections and the undertaking of investigations into complaints. Final year students completing their course are also encouraged to apply.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have:

The candidate will have a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or other similar qualification acceptable to the Executive Director of Public Health.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of environmental health principles.

Well-developed customer service and public relations skills.

Developed analytical and problem solving skills.

Developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to manage time and organise tasks with a high level of autonomy.

Experience using computers with windows based applications.

Experience working in a team environment.

The benefits of working with us

Salary package range of $86,737 to $119,061 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience inclusive of:

Up to 15% with Council superannuation contribution.

4 weeks’ annual leave.
