· Accommodation, conferencing and events management experience in a highly competitive market with a strong comprehension of revenue and yield management principles
· Willingness to take a hands-on management approach to grow and develop, motivate and lead a professional and dynamic team, across all departments
· Oversee daily operations of the hotel, including management of staff across different departments and working in conjunction with Front Office Manager and Housekeeping Manager
· Oversee The Port Restaurant, ensuring smooth service and standards
· Oversee Conferences & Events, working with the kitchen to ensure service delivery.
· Responding to event and group enquiries in a timely manner and sourcing new business
· Lead, motivate and develop the F&B team as your own
· Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to maintain quality, consistency and seek opportunities for improvement
· Maintain stock, ordering and managing costs as appropriate
· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
· Previous working knowledge of various PMS, POS, Channel Management and OPERA Cloud. Knowledge of Accor systems is advantageous
· Working with team to meet, exceed or maintain budgets including income and wages
· Implementing guest feedback to ensure high level of service and quality of room standards
· A strong appreciation and understanding of work, health and safety and risk
Management
Must Have:
· A passion for tourism and hospitality, with previous management experience
· Vic RSA and Barista Experience
· Excellent communications skills and time management
· Ability to work under pressure and managing conflicting priorities
· Current Australian working rights
