What you'll do

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Support the installation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipment, and test specific versions of one or more of these products.
  • Build, document and implement technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
  • Provision of sound advice and recommendations regarding technical specialisms and their application.
  • Utilise appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures.
  • Support the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of specific infrastructure components in proposed implementations.
  • Actively participate in a team of specialist technical resources in the delivery of complex technical solutions.
  • Perform administrative functions and other duties as directed by the supervisor.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory)
  • Active Directory Group Policy administration and configuration
  • Application packaging (MSI, application virtualisation, scripting technologies)
  • Enterprise printing solutions (Novell iPrint)
  • Demonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn eHealth Queensland's ITIL Service Management processes, primarily incident / problem / change / configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 3, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 3, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 2)
  • High level understanding and technical skills in one or more of the following:
  • Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS Collaborative Working)
