What you'll do

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high quality technical expertise, support and administration whilst adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processes.
  • Provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels;
  • Assist management in the decision making process by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit;
  • Provide expertise to progress the installation and configuration of hardware, firmware and software as per departmental frameworks.
  • Manage ICT assets by ensuring changes and relevant information is recorded accurately.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Health Level 7 (HL7) Messaging
  • FTP (File Transfer Protocol) / SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) technologies
  • KiteWorks solution
  • Demonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes, primarily incident/problem/test/change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 3, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 3, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 2)
  • Desirable demonstrated ability in providing high level specialist advice on, and support for technology services, including:
  • Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4)
  • Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS Collaborative Working)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse situations and successfully implement solutions within a quality framework to meet service agreements. (SFIA: SLMO Level 4)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are achieved.
