About the role

Join the City of Canning on a permanent, full time basis, and work across the business, providing efficient and effective first and second level support as our ICT Technical Support Officer.

A snapshot of your new role:

Provide 1st and 2nd level service desk support

Provide user inductions to all new users of the City’s network

Proactively and responsively act upon service requests generated via the Service Desk system, with adherence to SLA’s and personal/team KPIs

Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers and vendors on technical matters to resolve ICT requests

Use approved ICT tools and scripts to automate and simplify the support and delivery of support services wherever possible

Continued focus on finding solutions to repeat problems (root cause analysis)

Create and update user procedure guides to support staff in the use of the City’s systems

What you will bring to the role:

Microsoft certification and industry experience OR less formal qualifications with specialised skills and substantial experience in a similar role

Completion of Year 12 (Minimum Year 10 required)

Previous experience in resolving technical issues in a timely manner

Knowledge and understanding of desktop technologies including PCs, Windows operating system and basic knowledge of IP networks and Active Directory

Experience deploying and supporting Android and iOS mobile devices

C Class Drivers Licence

Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance

Previous experience within a local government would be desirable
