For the commencement at the start of the 2026 school year we are looking for a Religious Education Leader at our Officer Campus.
This position is for 2 school years (2026 - 2027) and holds a POL 4 allowance and 630 minutes of release time per cycle.
The successful applicant will also receive ongoing employment as a Classroom Teacher.
The Religious Education Leader and Campus Leadership Team Member is responsible for the delivery of the Religious
Education program in accordance with the Diocese of Sale curriculum, the ongoing implementation of the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Project (ECSIP) and faith formation at their Campus. The role of the Religious Education Coordinator is inspired by a contemporary vision of Catholic Education that is Gospel-based, student-centred, dialogical, inclusive, and holistic.
They are also a member of the Campus Leadership Team who are responsible for the implementation of the College Game Plan at the Campus and who offer advice to the Deputy Principal - Head of Campus regarding the strategic directions of the Campus
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to promote and uphold the Catholic Identity of the College
- Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school, or a willingness to undertake accreditation to teach in a Catholic school.
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) full registration
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of the learning and teaching pedagogy associated with the Victorian Curriculum
- Ability to deepen the work they lead and connect it to the College Game Plan and Playbook
- Ability to embrace and demonstrate our values of respect, curiosity, gratitude and hope through word and action
- Displays a professional mindset and character to effectively lead staff to cater for the diverse needs of learners
- Ability to lead collegial teams underpinned by a team-based culture
- Inspiring and motivating team members towards achieving shared goals and objectives
- Building staff capacity through coaching and mentoring, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities, encompassing the capacity to engage with students, parents, and the broader school community
- Ability to follow Child Safety requirements, including: creating a child safe culture, and identifying and responding to abuse using the PROTECT framework
