ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Based in Northern Sydney, work for your Local Council as a WHS Advisor. You role will be to play a vital role in the development, implementation and maintenance of Council's health and safety programs.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Immediate start for an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to apply for a permanent position. You will work closely with the leaders across Council and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with WHS regulations and to further promote a safe, healthy and compliant work environment.

DUTIES.

• Provide advice on WHS policies, procedures and legislation
• Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits
• Develop and deliver WHS training
• Support the implementation of WHS initiatives and safety programs

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Cert IV in WHS or extensive experience in the WHS field
• Experience working in Local Council and/or Government preferred
• A high level of task prioritisation and time management skills
• High level of maturity and communication skills

REMUNERATION.

Permanent Salary: $89,000 - $103,000 + Superannuation
Temporary role: $60 - $70 p/h + Superannuation

CULTURE.

Work alongside another WHS Officer to assist you in your day-to-day duties. You will take responsibility over the WHS function for Council and work closely with the Infrastructure Services team.
