WHS Specialist - Policy, Performance and Review

Reporting to the Risk and WHS Coordinator, this role supports the development and implementation of psychosocial hazard management as part of this organisation's WHS framework. You’ll help minimise risk exposure, support workplace safety, and contribute to proactive WHS services across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review and improve psychosocial risk management systems, policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and support serious incident investigations.
• Assist with business continuity, audit actions, and WHS reporting.
• Contribute to WHS compliance, staff safety training, and performance benchmarking.
• Foster a positive safety culture and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Essential Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or senior experience in psychosocial risk in complex organisations.
• Background in clinical, psychological or mental health management (min. 5 years).
• Strong skills in risk documentation, project delivery, and safety leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to influence culture and solve complex WHS challenges.
• NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Local Government.
• Additional qualifications in workplace training, incident investigation, or return to work coordination.
