About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a proactive and organised Depot Operations Officer to join our Civil Administration Team based at the Childers Depot.

This role is essential in providing high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the depot. You will assist with procurement, stock control, data entry, and coordination of deliveries, while maintaining accurate registers and documentation.

You will also play a key role in supporting field operations, being the first point of contact for depot-related matters, coordinating deliveries and equipment, and assisting with customer requests, correspondence, and general office duties.

This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with operational support tasks in a busy, team-based environment.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum two years) in a high-volume, customer-focused administrative or depot environment.
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel, and a high level of attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining professionalism, discretion, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within set procedures and timeframes.
  • Current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Desirable: Qualifications in Business, Administration, or Depot Operations.
