About the Opportunity
NSW Health Pathology is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join its Facilities Management Unit (FMU) at the Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS). This role supports the FMU by contributing to infrastructure projects, emergency management, and operational support across a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities, managing work requests, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance with environmental, safety, and legislative standards.

What you'll be doing
The Facilities Support Officer, Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS) is responsible for assisting the functions and broader responsibilities of the Facilities Management Unit (FMU), through the provision of support activities and participation in Facilities Management operational tasks and duties.

  1. Hold a tertiary qualification relevant to the role and/or demonstrated experience in a senior administration capacity or equivalent position.
  2. Highly developed computer literacy skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages, procurement systems, AFM Online and building management systems to complete work activities.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  4. Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet and manage competing priorities, giving due consideration to business continuity needs in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver outcomes within specified timeframes.
  6. Proven ability to provide high attention to detail within a busy, high volume environment.
  7. Willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the role and hold a current NSW driver’s license.
  8. Participation in an on-call roster for Facilities Management regarding responses to critical infrastructure issues outside core business hours.
