About the role

Architectural Hardwood Joinery is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our dynamic team in Woonona, NSW. As the Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations in our workshop, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Leading and directing a team of skilled tradespeople to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and safely

Coordinating the workflow and allocating tasks to team members based on their skills and experience

Monitoring progress and quality of work, identifying and resolving any issues that arise

Communicating regularly with our Operations manager to provide updates and address any concerns

Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their skills and expertise

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the project

Producing high quality joinery products unique to Architectural Hardwood Joinery

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Leading Hand, preferably in the joinery or woodworking sector

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of woodworking/joinery methods, materials, and machinery

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
