Your new role

As a Mechanical Plumbing Leading Hand / Site Foreman, you'll play a hands-on leadership role across multiple mechanical plumbing projects. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll be responsible for supervising teams, coordinating site activities, and ensuring high standards of quality construction and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing and maintaining mechanical systems including copper, steel, and plastic piping, valves, HVAC systems, and plant rooms

• Leading a team of approx. 10 employees and subcontractors across various sites

• Allocating tasks, mentoring apprentices, and acting as the first point of contact on site

• Coordinating daily and weekly schedules, ordering materials, and managing deliveries

• Conducting toolbox talks, enforcing WHS compliance, and reviewing SWMS and risk assessments

• Liaising with builders, clients, and other trades to resolve on-site issues

• Approving timesheets, reporting progress, and managing site documentation

• Assisting with testing, commissioning, and defect close-out prior to handover

What you'll need to succeed

• Licenced Mechanical Plumber (or equivalent trade qualification)

• Proven experience in a Leading Hand, Foreman, or Site Supervisor role

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plant rooms, and mechanical drawings

• Solid understanding of WHS practices and compliance documentation

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to manage schedules, materials, and site operations effectively

• Comfortable using basic digital tools for reporting and documentation

• Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering quality work
