About the role

Shining Bright Abilities' is seeking a fun, outgoing and reliable Casual Support Worker to join our team in Kurri Kurri, NSW. In this casual position, you will provide high-quality support to children and young adults with a range of abilities, ensuring they have a safe, engaging and rewarding experience in our outside school hours care program.

What you'll be doing

Assisting children and adults with a variety of daily living activities and personal care needs

Facilitating engaging and educational activities, including arts, crafts, sports and games

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times

Providing a nurturing, supportive and inclusive environment

Working collaboratively with the broader team to deliver high-quality care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and legal requirements

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in a similar support worker or childcare role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A warm, patient and empathetic approach when working with children and adults

The ability to think quickly, remain calm and respond appropriately in challenging situations

A current First Aid certificate + CPR and Working With Children Check, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screener.
