Our service delivery covers children, young people and adults in the Maitland, Newcastle, Hunter and Tweed regions.

About the Role
We are seeking resilient, caring and experienced female Mental Health/Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis.
This opportunity is based in Farley, supporting an identified woman with complex mental health needs. We are looking for professionals who are compassionate, reliable, and trauma-informed, with the ability to build trusting, respectful and safe connections.
This role includes sleepover shifts and offers flexibility across a 24/7 roster to ensure holistic and stable support for the participant.
This role specifies support worker role for persons of a particular sex to meet the needs of the participants in accordance with an exemption granted from sections 8, 10, 25, 27 & 51 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
Key Responsibilities
Support people living with disabilities to live stable, purposeful lives
Assist with day to day living tasks and daily routines
Build trusting, therapeutic relationships, supporting participants through mentoring and positive behaviour support
Manage complex behaviours and deescalate applying therapeutic practices
Support cultural connection and community involvement for participants
Maintain documentation, including incident reporting to a high standard
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Essential Criteria
Certificate IV in Community Service/Disability Services or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
Experience in the disability or mental health, OOHC sectors. Experience working with complex trauma highly regarded
Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
Current First Aid/CPR certificate
Current NDIS worker screening check
Current Working with Children Check
Available to work sleepover shifts
A responsible attitude and strong rapport building skills – strong skills in maintaining positive, dignified and respectful relationships with participants, their families and other health and support workers
