About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering and project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning projects and supporting the delivery of high-quality fabrication services.

This is a permanent full-time position

Key Responsibilities

- Review structural and civil engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulation and codes of practice

- Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to clarify project scope and requirements to formulate estimates and resolve issues that may arise

- Conduct material take-offs and pricing of structural steel components, labour, and associated costs

- Preparation of estimates to be utilized for selecting vendors, contractors and sub-contractors

- Consult with all stakeholders regarding contract changes, adjustments and cost estimates

- Liaise with architects, builders, and clients to coordinate project designs and timelines

- Provide technical support to fabrication and construction teams

- Contribute to project management, cost estimation, and quality assurance processes

- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements

- Establishing professional working relationships with our General Manger, Directors and Business Development Managers.

Skills and Experience Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification

- Minimum 2 years of Australian experience in civil or structural engineering

- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, erection methods and industry standards

- Proficient in reading and interpreting structural drawings and specifications

- Excellent knowledge in MS Office.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team

- Demonstrated experience in working to deadlines and working under pressure

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 plus Superannuation
