Supamart is a proudly family-owned supermarket known for offering high-quality produce, fresh meals/sushi, and exceptional service across our Sydney locations. We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our production kitchen team, helping to prepare fresh meals and sushi for our stores.

The Role

We are looking for a Cook to support our production kitchen. These roles require attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a passion for delivering high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities

Cook Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking – Prepare and cook meals and sushi to a high standard, ensuring consistency in portion size and flavour.

Portioning & Packaging – Accurately portion and package meals and sushi for distribution to stores.

Cooking Equipment Management – Monitor and regulate cooking appliances to ensure food is cooked safely and correctly.

Food Handling & Storage – Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly to maintain freshness and comply with food safety regulations.

Menu Planning & Estimation – Assist in planning production schedules, estimating ingredient needs, and preparing quantities to meet store demands.

Assisting with Quality Control – Maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portioning.

Team Support – Work closely with the Chef and production team to ensure efficient meal production.

Training & Guidance – Support and guide junior staff, assisting in training and maintaining high standards of food preparation and safety.

About You

Strong knowledge of food preparation, portioning, and cooking techniques.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Understanding of OH&S and food safety regulations.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Requires formal qualification and at least 12 months of relevant work experience.
