About the role
McGuire Hotels' is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our Alexandra Hills Hotel team in Brisbane's Bayside & Eastern Suburbs. As a fulltime Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our busy hotel. Your strong leadership, customer service and problem-solving skills will be crucial in this dynamic role.
What you'll be doing
Oversee and coordinate all front office and food & beverage operations during your shifts
Ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered to all customers and guests
Manage and supervise hotel staff, including scheduling, training and performance management
Respond promptly and effectively to customer and guest enquiries and complaints
Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to identify and resolve any issues
Assist with cash handling, data entry and other administrative duties as required
Ensure the hotel's policies, procedures and compliance requirements are upheld
What we're looking for
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Duty Manager or senior hospitality supervisory role
Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team to achieve high performance
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact
Sound knowledge of hotel operations, front office procedures and hospitality industry regulations
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficient in using hotel management software and technology
A friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
