Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Employment Coordinator to lead the delivery of the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program in Borroloola. As the RAES Senior Employment Coordinator, you will lead the delivery of the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program in Borroloola. This role is focused on supporting job seekers through culturally appropriate services, coordinating training and employment activities, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You’ll work closely with remote communities, local employers, and internal teams to drive sustainable employment outcomes and contribute to personal, professional, and community development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver culturally appropriate job seeker services in remote communities.
Support and train Remote Employment Consultants to meet contractual targets.
Coordinate training activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
Foster strong relationships with local employers, government personnel, and community stakeholders.
Monitor performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure workplace health and safety standards are upheld.
Essential:
Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in employment services.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
High-level written communication and report writing abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities.
Experience in remote community engagement and 4x4 driving on unsealed roads.
Demonstrated WHS awareness and safe work practices.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary:$89,905.115 to $98, 881.53 per annum (depending on experience)
Subsidised Accommodation and Vehicle for private use
Leave Entitlements: 6 weeks annual leave + 10 days personal/sick leave
