Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused Employment Placement Support Officer to deliver the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program across Borroloola and Robinson River.

In this role, you’ll provide tailored support to job seekers and employers to help secure and sustain meaningful employment. You’ll work closely with remote communities, local businesses, and internal teams to ensure quality outcomes and compliance with the RAES contract.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver individualised employment placement support to job seekers and employers.

Promote job seekers to local employers through reverse marketing and stakeholder engagement.

Coordinate training and employment sustainability resources.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and outcome claims.

Collaborate with RAES Senior Employment Coordinators to identify training opportunities.

Foster respectful relationships with job seekers and community stakeholders.

Ensure services are culturally, socially, and environmentally appropriate.

Essential:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in employment services.

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written communication and report writing abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities and remote stakeholders.

Experience driving 4x4 vehicles on unsealed roads.

Salary & Benefits:

Base Salary:$79,862.13 $87796.37per annum (depending on experience)
