The brief
At Blue Wing Care, you’ll be accountable for the complex care needs of SIL participants; think PEG feeding, seizure management, dysphagia/mealtime plans, pressure injury prevention, manual handling and behaviour support implementation. You’ll turn great plans into great daily practice, train staff to competency, and keep every shift running to standard.

What you’ll do

Own the complex care: Keep care/risk/mealtime plans current, practical and followed; troubleshoot issues fast.

Build capability: Induct and coach staff, then competency-assess them in PEG, seizure response, manual handling, pressure area care, and mealtime plans.

Roster readiness: Work with rostering to ensure the right trained staff are on every shift for your clients.

Quality & compliance: Complete spot checks, follow up incidents, and embed learning so quality sticks.

Stay close to care: Spend time alongside clients and teams to validate plans and model best practice.

Collaborate well: Communicate clearly with families, clinicians and your QLD Service Manager.

Expected mix: ~70% coordination/leadership, ~30% client-facing (varies with participant needs).

You’ll bring

Hands-on experience coordinating NDIS complex supports in SIL or similar.

Practical expertise with PEG feeding, seizure protocols, dysphagia/mealtime plans, pressure injury prevention and manual handling—and the confidence to train and sign-off staff.

Strong documentation, organisation and follow-through.

Comfortable with sector-standard case/roster software and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365).

NDIS Worker Screening Check and Driver Licence.

Nice to have

Nursing background (RN/EN) not required but valued.

Any coaching/training credentials for adult learners.

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

Blue Card

Full Australian work rights (ongoing).

Location & travel

Field-based role. You’ll spend most of your time in participants’ homes across the mid–northern Gold Coast, with occasional visits to our Beenleigh base for meetings, training and handovers.
