Please note this a up to 6 month full time or part time opportunity and can be a secondment.

Metro Tunnel Project Office, Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (MTPO, VIDA) is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel. MTPO, VIDA is responsible for all aspects of the project, overseeing the final stages of construction, testing and commissioning to get ready for opening in 2025.

Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority comprises of Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Tunnel Project (MTPO,VIDA), Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) and Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA).

About the role

The Business Systems Officer Delivers a strong customer service focus, this position is responsible for providing high level support for the Metro Tunnel Project Office (MTPO) to ensure the appropriate provision of support for IT hardware, software, Audio Visual technology, telephony and mobile devices. The role will require managing relationships within MTPO, VIDA, Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and other support providers to ensure that there is a high level of understanding of business and IT needs and outcomes are consistent with business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Liaise with internal business groups to support their IT, accommodation and communication requirements (including mobile devices). Successfully negotiate and facilitate appropriate solutions as required.
• Provide front-line support to project staff for business applications and hardware, acting as a point of contact between RPV, CenITex and vendors as required.
• Support the procurement and coordination of IT hardware, software and infrastructure needs and ensure that all staff are provided with the appropriate resources and access to business applications and information. Including provision of advise.
• Undertake ongoing asset management tasks related to managing a fluid and dynamic fleet of IT hardware and associated devices.
• Development and modification of documentation and records including support guides, procedures and asset lifecycle management artifacts under the guidance of Technology Services Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor (or higher) qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline is highly desired.
