Salary: $100,000–$110,000pa + 12% superannuation

Bayside Council is seeking a pragmatic and capable HR Business Partner to join our collaborative People & Culture team. This is a hands-on, generalist role with exposure to workplace relations, employee lifecycle, and strategic HR initiatives. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of corporate services Directorate, supporting leaders and employees in delivering fair, compliant, and people-focused outcomes.
Your Role - As an HR Business Partner, you’ll:
Provide generalist HR support across the entire life cycle of HR – coaching of stakeholders in HR/E/IR matters, performance, and development.
Support leaders in applying council policies, procedures, and industrial instruments to their operations and strategy.
Assist in managing workplace relations matters including performance issues, workplace investigations, and award interpretation.
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to be their trusted advisor and build high performing teams.
What You’ll Bring
Broad experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within regulated environments.
Working knowledge of the NSW Industrial Relations Act 1996, WHS Act 2011 (NSW), and LG State Award 2023.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver practical, people-centred solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field.
