Senior Quality Coordinator
About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an accomplished and detail-driven Senior Quality Coordinator to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional quality and food safety outcomes across our client’s food manufacturing operations.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager and partnering closely with senior technical and production leaders, you’ll oversee the implementation, maintenance and continual evolution of our Food Safety & Quality Management System — ensuring products consistently meet regulatory, customer, and certification standards.
This is a high-impact role ideal for a proven quality professional who thrives on accountability, precision, and driving a culture of excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of our clients Food Safety & Quality Management System in line with FSANZ, GFSI and major retailer requirements.
Plan, conduct and oversee internal audits and site inspections, preparing the business for third-party, customer and certification audits.
Champion compliance on the production floor by providing technical leadership, monitoring quality performance, and resolving issues in real-time.
Own documentation, traceability and reporting processes to maintain robust data integrity and compliance records.
Investigate and resolve non-conformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues — ensuring corrective and preventative actions are completed effectively.
Coach and upskill operational teams, delivering training that strengthens quality awareness and food safety culture across all levels.
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, NPD, logistics and production teams to embed quality and compliance into every stage of the supply chain.
About You
A degree in Food Science or related discipline.
Proven experience in a senior quality or QA coordination role within food manufacturing — ideally across bakery, snack food or dry ingredients
Demonstrated expertise in GFSI standards, FSANZ regulations, internal audit processes and third-party audit readiness.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with sound decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence, lead and build strong stakeholder relationships across technical and operational teams.
Why Join Our Client?
This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a values-driven, quality-focused organisation. You’ll have the autonomy to shape quality systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and elevate our manufacturing standards as we continue to grow.
