Our client is a rapidly expanding, technology-driven comparison business that helps Australians make smarter choices across key household and services.
They’re now entering the health insurance space and seeking a dynamic, well-connected Business Development Manager to drive partnerships and growth within this exciting new vertical.
About the Role Reporting to Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of developing and growing the health insurance category from the ground up.
You will:
- Identify, engage, and secure new B2B partnership opportunities within the Australian health insurance sector.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with major private health insurers, brokers, and distribution partners.
- Negotiate commercial agreements that deliver competitive outcomes for customers and sustainable growth for partners.
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to help shape and launch the comparison platform.
- Drive new revenue streams and play a key role in defining the go-to-market and partnership strategy for the vertical.
- Represent the business across industry networks and events, positioning it as a trusted player in the health insurance landscape.
About You You’re a commercially astute relationship builder with a strong understanding of the health insurance ecosystem and a track record of delivering results.
You’ll bring:
- Proven success in business development, partnerships, or distribution within health insurance, financial services, or comparison platforms.
- Existing relationships or networks with Australian private health insurers.
- A hunter mentality — proactive, driven, and strategic in identifying and converting opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of industry regulations and competitive positioning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with autonomy and accountability.
